Expat Worldwide offers two plans choices:
- Expat Worldwide Premier - Worldwide coverage including USA.
- Expat Worldwide Essential - Worldwide coverage excluding USA.
Within the USA, Expat Worldwide insurance participates in BlueCross BlueShield PPO network, which is widely accepted all over the U.S.
In Expat Worldwide, you can choose from several deductibles; the deductible also determines coinsurance, which affects the out of pocket maximum. When coverage is used in the U.S., the deductible and out of pocket maximum doubles for care received outside the PPO network, compared to care received within the PPO network. However, the in-network deductible reduces by 50% for care outside the U.S.
Expat Worldwide is an annually renewable, comprehensive major medical insurance plan. This plan is primarily designed for people living outside the U.S., both individuals and their families.
Expat Worldwide are medically underwritten plans; they are not Affordable Care Act (PPACA) compliant. However, Expat Worldwide follows HIPAA rules.
All US citizens living abroad that are under the age of 74 years can apply for coverage. Additionally, all legal residents of the U.S. who are under the age of 74 years can apply for coverage, as long as they reside in an approved state.

Expat Worldwide has no waiting period or sublimit for preventive services and there are no precertification penalty for inpatient or outpatient care.
Expat Worldwide will cover COVID-19 (coronavirus) treatment just like any other new medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy.
